Unlike a normal JFB event, this one will be different and more of like a celebration. This will be the first time an international act performs at the event, which has been headlined by local acts since its inception. Basadi Debela, Zeus and Zandile Rammekwa conceptualised the event three years ago.

“Since it’s a celebration for our third year, we have decided to bring in Shekhinah and Mpho Sebina because their craft is relevant to the JFB attendants. Mpho Sebina is one of the first acts to feature at the event and she has been supporting us ever since,” said Rammekwa.

The two artists recently released new projects that have been received well by their listeners. They will be supported by a number of local disc jockeys that have become regular acts at the event such as Myzah, Jembe Soul, Trybe and TCM to mention but a few.

Apart from the headline acts of the event, Rammekwa said the third anniversary celebration of the event will be fun packed with a number of activities taking place that cater for people of different ages including a space for children to have some fun, food and beverage stalls with the musical entertainment.

“Over the years we have had great support from different stakeholders such as the attendants, organisations and the media. Everyone who has supported us has made us grow. When we started this we felt it was time for Batswana to have such an experience at events after we were inspired by a number of market events in South Africa. JFB is made for the people,” Rammekwa said.

The event has grown from being an ordinary event into a brand that has attracted a number of people around the country. Through the event a number of elements such local artists, food culture, young entrepreneurs have managed to exhibit and market their craft.

For his part Zeus, stated that with three years running it has been an exciting journey that they have experienced a lot as they have managed to enjoy and connect with other people. He stated that through the experience they have also learnt a number of things.

“It is a special thing to see people enjoy and connect. As a team we would like to thank our audience, loyalists and everyone that has supported us.

“There is so much more in store coming from the event,” said Zeus. Over the years JFB has become one of the best events in the country that has its own unique vibe and set up that has made it to stand alone. It has grown from being an event to an entity that has its own wine brand and other elements.

Due to the quality entertainment it provides, a number of cooperates around the country have come to work closely with event.
