“SOS Children’s Villages believes that ’no child should grow up alone’.  In its celebration of 30 years of existence in Botswana, SOS Children’s Villages embarked on a nationwide roadshow. The objective of the roadshow is to take the organisation to the general public, to use the opportunity to sensitise the general public about the existence of SOS CV and the plight of children in Botswana,” the statement read.

The roadshow, which was launched in Mahalapye on August 5 will continue to cover 22 major villages and towns including Francistown, Nata, Kasane, Maun, Gumare, Gantsi, Tsabong, Jwaneng, Lobatse. The final show will be at the Gaborone bus rank on September 2.  During the roadshow there are drama performances that carry the message, theme songs and entertainment by Tumza and the Shooting Stars.

“The members of public and companies are encouraged to make their donations as the roadshow passes through their villages and towns. The funds donated will be used to provide feeding and clothing to the over 1,500 children under the SOS CV care.  The roadshow schedule is available on the SOS CV Facebook page, SOS Children’s Villages Botswana.
