The three Francistown West men, Boago Mosarwane, Otsile Moses and Chidzani Mokgwebe are due in court next week where it is anticipated that assault charges will be laid against them.

They were initially scheduled to appear in court last month but their appearance was postponed due to the absence of the presiding magistrate.

Mmegi has established that since early last week the trio led by Moses has made two attempts to reach Masogo in a bid to reconcile with him. In all occasions, Masogo is said to have bluntly rejected the three men insisting that they made their advancement for reconciliation efforts late.

Yesterday, Masogo confirmed that the three men have made attempts to reach him for reconciliation. He however, maintained that he had no intentions of forgiving them.

“If they were serious about reconciling with me they could have approached me in March. What is painful is that they publicly denied assaulting me while they knew that it was not true. They were not remorseful,” Masogo said.

He said that the trio should just wait to have their day in court.

Moses confirmed yesterday that they recently approached Masogo for reconciliation but he was not willing to listen. “We have now decided that we should go to court instead of pushing for reconciliation with Masogo. He is not willing to reconcile with us so we have no option,” he said.

Moses and his colleagues have always maintained that they did not assault Masogo. The three men who are said to be strong backers of Francistown West legislator Ignatius Moswaane allegedly assaulted Masogo early this year at the party’s controversy ridden Francistown region elective congress.

The feuding between Masogo and the three men was fuelled by differences related to the handling of congress activities.
