Time Projects runs for charity

Senior projects manager at Time Projects, Henno Cronje told Mmegi Sport yesterday that the event is meant to raise funds for various charity activities.

He said the event has always been a success and they expect the same this year. He said last year, more than 300 people took part in the challenge. He said the challenge is divided into four stages; with the first stage being the 10km trial run, the 15km mountain biking (MTB 1), the 15km mountain biking follows (MTB 2) and the last challenge is the 5km trial run.

“A relay team shall have a minimum of two registered members with a maximum of four members. A relay can be broken down into different formats,” he said.

Cronje said the challenge is meant to give people a chance to enjoy the Mokolodi Nature Reserve, but such opportunities do not come everyday. The event provides an unique way to experience different parts of Mokolodi Nature Reserve while all entry fees, sponsorships and proceeds go towards charity.

“The 2016 Time Adventure Challenge was a truly memorable success and as a result we supported two beneficiaries.

The first being the Futsal Park in Bontleng where we donated a concrete slab. This project is the pilot project of Pula Sports Development Association and will allow local sports development to flourish under the tutelage of football, basketball and netball organisations, which now have a venue for their efforts. The second is an outdoor fitness park or gym in Kgale like the one next to the Western Bypass,” Cronje said.

The registration fees are set as follows; individual (P300), social relay team (P900), corporate relay team (P1,500) and juniors (P500).
