Josphat SevensFriday Mugagami: We cant say this is a military coup so far. its what i see as ‘constitutional restoration of political sanity’.

Bring corrupt leaders to book and face justice as well as to enforce truthfulness in media houses. No biased or misleading news in the country. call a spade a spade when reporting on national broadcasters. thats what the military is up to nd nothing more or less

Emalerona Mogwera: Coup has never been a solution, African countries that have gone through that are still struggling to date. Not a wise move but necessary just for the benefit of doubt.

Alfa Lefha Mbedzi: Zimbabwe has gone down the drain during Mugabe era, from bread basket of Africa to a laughing stock of Africa, all of these because of one man who tried to run a country like spazza and a family bussiness. This is the right time to revive the once prosperous country so that all those who are in diaspora could go back home including refugees in neighboring countries. This coup was long overdue. This is the kind of legacy that Robert Mugabe has long wanted to leave behind. All I can say is, the chickens have come home to roost.

Mma Cee: It was time someone took a step ahead.. Zimbabweans are tired they cant afford to enter 2018 with the same 1980s Zimbabwe....

Charles Gada: As long as what the army is doing is constitutional or else it may not get regional recognition. This is why this becones the longest coup undertaken. The Army Chief has jus acquired a professorship degree, so he knoqs he has to tread carefully on the path. A big question is how will they form a transitional government and which persons will be chosen in it. The biggest thing they can do forcnow is to persuade Mugabe to resign.. ....something really next to impossible.

Thapelo Baloteli: its against norms to have a first lady who holds public gatherings. ..address parliament. .fires ministers. .thats unconstitutional. .it seems as if Grace Mugabe has taken over executive powers from her ailing husband...the last nail in Mr Mugabe’s coffin was when he fired the vice-president ..a man who was part of the liberation struggle just to pave way for Grace to assend to his office. ..

Kago Moroba: Its high time zim people are free from this dictator. I always tell people that changing government on its own its a solution to breeding dictators.

Sír Pat Wasetso: I support what the Army is doing in Zimbabwe... Mugabe thinks he owns Zim. It’s time for him to Go...

Tinotenda Musara: Good for Zimbabwe and Africa as a whole.. Those who run countries like their own personal properties be very afraid

Lee Phillime: the very same thing is looming in Botswana if the EVM is going to be used without the public approval these countries belong to all citizens Mugabe need to hand offer power peacefully and i don’t see any resistance from his corner we talking about the army here

Botlhe Kameron Segokgo I support the takeover, Botswana has been bearing the brunt of Zimbabwe’s unstable economy

David Xole Sethatho: Robert Gabriel Mugabe’s greatest undoing is Grace Mufuru aka Mugabe.

Gomolemo Motswasele: Military coup is not tolerated in Southern Africa. I appeal for the SADC Region to intervene. We can’t have Sudan in Southern Africa bcoz this gonna lead to formation of ditsulodi. This must be dealt with before they spread that disease to the rest of SADC Region.

Nkamo Kay Lesego: Other Leaders will learn from what is happening in Zim now.Leaders will now practise n learn hw to lead the nation nt eir own home coz they are now taking our countries like eir houses, they evin forget dat they became president because of us now they dnt give respect to us

Kd Selato: Mugabes downfall was set when he married a younger wife, its all because of greedy from Grace.

Benjamin Ngwanaang: Zim soldiers seem to be also tied of Mugabe’s rule by now and hope for SADAC intervention to advice him to step down as of now.

Ray Mond: Democracy is failing Africans . It’s a model which works better in the west.even so it’s not working there as intended. The rich and powerful rig the elections all the time.We need a new model of democracy tailored for Africa.
