The Gaborone High Court last month granted Mamelodi permission to serve ADM Financial Forensic Services with papers to appear to be part of the court proceedings in a case in which Mamelodi is challenging his dismissal by Botswana Football Association (BFA). Mamelodi was removed from his position at the BPL after a forensic audit conducted by ADM Finance Audit showed financial irregularities with a deficit of P6.2 million.

Earlier this year, Mamelodi was successful in his court application to add the audit firm as one of the respondents in the matter.

The firm was to be put to the witness box to defend its report on the findings on the review of accounting procedures, records and reporting of the BPL. The firm joined the BFA and its former interim chief executive officer, Susan Lawrence as the third respondent.

Mamelodi’s legal representative, Dutch Leburu was not present in court yesterday. The court heard through, BFA legal representative that Leburu has failed to serve the ADM with papers where they seek variation as they sought assistance for the court.

The court also learnt that the BFA is not opposing Mamelodi’s attempt to drag ADM to court and did not also oppose the publication of the forensic report.

Mamelodi was first suspended in March last year, although he was briefly reinstated in July, before being hit with another suspension in August. The BFA eventually terminated his contract in April. In February, Mamelodi lost a case in which he sought the High Court interdict a disciplinary hearing by the BFA and faced the BPL Disciplinary Committee in April. The status hearing for the case would be heard on December 13, 2017.
