While there are numerous transfer rumours circulating, only a couple of transfers have actually been completed. Botswana Premier League (BPL) acting chief executive officer, Thabo Ntshinogang recently admitted that the registration of players at his office has been slow.

Gaborone giants, Township Rollers and Gaborone United (GU) have set the pace already with diamond sides, Jwaneng Galaxy and Orapa United, linked with several players.

Galaxy in particular continue to be linked with high profile players after completing the signing of Ayanda Molefe and Oabile Makopo.

They were at some point said to be chasing discarded Rollers midfielder, Lawrence Majawa, but the move seems to have fallen through.

Majawa who left Rollers because of disagreements over the offer, is likely to cross over to rivals, Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

He is expected to replace Lesego Galenamotlhale, who is said to be nearing a move to Jwaneng.  Galaxy are also said to be toying around the idea of bringing in Terrence Mandaza, who has also left Rollers. Both Galaxy and Rollers are set to tussle for Zebras right back, Thabo Leinanyane with both clubs reportedly claiming his ownership. Orapa United have registered Kobamelo Kebaikanye, Tapiwa Nyamanjiva and Bogosi Kaekwe. Kebaikanye spent last season on loan at BDF XI from Rollers.

He is expected to provide speed on the left wing with either Lemogang Maswena or Gift Moyo operating on the right.

He has re-united with coaches Madinda Ndlovu and Zechariah Mudzazi who he worked with at Rollers before.

The club recently released former Nico pair, Nelson Moreetsi and Khumoetsile Kufigwa. Zebron Ndjovu is also on his way out of the club.

Chiefs, who are facing mass exodus of players, have released vacancies for three key positions of defender, midfielder and striker on their social media page.  They have already captured defensive midfielder, Thato Ogopotse from GU.

BDF XI have already acquired the services of Mcini Sibanda from Security Systems.

Nelson Rasetshwane was recently relieved of his duties as head coach with Letang Kgengwenyane replacing him.

The two have been swapping the head coach role for many seasons.  In Maun, Sankoyo Bush Bucks are looking to reunite with Morris Rudzivo who was released by Galaxy.
