His agent, Paul Mitchell of Siyavuma Sports Group has said the hard tackling midfielder will, however, not be lost to the Indian Super League in the coming season.

He said Nato looks set to join another Indian Super League side although he could not reveal the team.

“Nato looks like he will be joining one team in the Indian Super League. All I can say is that it will not be at Kolkata,” he said yesterday. Nato joined the Indian Super League, which normally runs from August to December in 2014 together with other foreign players when the league started. In between the four months’ break of the league, Nato and other foreign players joined other leagues. At some point, he joined Gaborone United before he came to Township Rollers in a move that caused a furore in the local league.

Nato’s move is expected to boost the national team as they seek to end their disastrous winless run.  He was recently left out of the COSAFA team because of his fitness after being unattached for a while. Kolkata recently unveiled former Manchester United striker, Teddy Sheringham as the new head coach for the coming season.

Meanwhile, it is still unclear where another Botswana export, Mogakolodi Ngele will be playing this coming season. Ngele who spent last season on loan to BidVest Wits has reportedly returned to his parent club, Mamelodi Sundowns.

Sundowns released a statement at the end of last season disclosing that Ngele will have to return to Sundowns since Wits did not exercise the option to keep him and Cuthbert Malajila beyond last season.

Ngele was one of the key players in coach Gavin Hunt’s push for the league title towards the end. He is currently linked with a move to Orlando Pirates from Sundowns.  Pirates were once interested in signing him while he was still at Platinum Stars before he joined Sundowns.
