The motivational talks’ main focus was on the relationships that individuals build with those around them, especially spouses. Mhlanga vividly stated that prior to being faithful in a relationship one has to be faithful to one’s self, saying that if one is not it is highly difficult for one to be in a successful relationship.

He went on to touch on how people tend to move on prior to healing from heartbreaks and breakdowns, stating that it is not advisable as the next person you move on with will not find it easy for you to heal.  “Broken dreams do not make you a broken person. Heal your wounds, pick the pieces up and move forward,” Mhlanga said.

The motivational speaker went on to advise the audience to build relationships with people who have a vision in life that can elevate them, giving as an example of how a woman would opt to date a financially broke man with a vision than a rich man without a vision.

He went on to talk about spirituality in a relationship stating that it guides a relationship but said was disappointed because men have lost their spiritual identity when compared to women.

“This is why in some families women seek the pastor’s authority when they are working on something.” He urged people to seek positivism in any relationship they build but above all encouraged them to have a strong individuality.

“This was a relationship awareness, it’s an important subject because relationships in the societies matter but we have to understand ourselves first so they succeed. Everyday we see relationships break up affecting other institutions around them,” Mhlanga said.

Kelly Champane, who touched on the topic of personal development, supported Mhlanga’s presentation. The audience was also given a platform to share their experiences.
