Moaneng honours single fathers

Going by stage name PsychoPath in the music circles Moaneng told Showbiz that Two has received a positive response in both local and international radio stations. He said the single was released this year and the video is expected to drop soon.
According to PsychoPath, Two in relation to its message of honouring the single father simply means the love between a father and his child hence two people.
The self-made producer and musician said that he produced the moving song all by himself at his company BlaQOut in Palapye.
The 26-year-old Maun-born artist said that the song speaks deeply to young single fathers who at times find it difficult to care for their young ones due to financial constraints as well as being shunned by the society.
“At times people feel for young single mothers than fathers disregarding the fact that sometimes we suffer the same fate more especially if the father is unemployed. Consequently the society hastens to judge the man calling him all sorts of names”.
PsychoPath said his Two is an encouragement track to all fathers more especialy single and unemployed fathers that no matter how hard they should hold on and never ever abandon their children. He said the song is also a testimony for his four-month-old baby and it is a commitment that he will protect and provide for his child no matter the situation.
It is not the first time the young Hip Hop musician released a song, he has a few singles out with his crew that were not successful.
They then decided to take a break from music with other members of the group separating to pursue different career paths.
He said that his breakthrough came in 2012 when he won Sprite Uncontainable Competition title that has since been undefended to date. He said this boosted his love for the arts hence vowing to make a return.
“Two has gained a lot of exposure as it has received airplay on RB2 as well as one of Zambia’s local radio stations. This I must say is the greatest achievement for a rural-based musician,” he said.
He added that some of the challenges he is facing are lack of exposure leading to no bookings.
PsychoPath said that the promoters would rather promote a well-known musician than giving a chance to the upcoming artists so that they gain exposure and grow their music.
He also said that the government‘s programmes aimed at assisting upcoming artists are not transparent and are difficult to obtain. Moreover he decried corruption and promoters‘ notorious ways of using upcoming artists.
PsychoPath‘s future endeavour is to penetrate the international market and work with the big giants locally such as Vee, ATI and Dramaboi. Currently he is studying sound technology at Limkokwing University to enhance his craft.
