TAFIC TAgwila Celebration festival is set to pick where Toropo ya Muka left PIC: KEOAGILE BONANG

The festival will be staged at what is becoming the venue of choice for night revellers at the Francistown Sport Complex parking lot on August 5.

Energetic ATI’s real name Atlasaone Molemogi who is currently on top of the game with his latest offering, Khiring Khiring Khorong Khorong is the recent addition to the solid locals only line up.

The line up is also inclusive of Metro FM award-winner Vee Mampeezy, the nation’s number one motswakolista Drama Boi, Han-C, B-Blok, DJ SLY, Boogie Sid, DJ Collastraw and DJ Gouveiya to mention but a few.

Tagwilila (Sekalaka for ‘we are back’) is set to celebrate the return of TAFIC Sporting Club to the elite Premiership League.

The festival is organised by Cue Beat Productions in partnership with TAFIC, who are also the main sponsors alongside Galo Mall.

Mosa Puso, the director of Cue Beats Productions, who is popularly known in the nightlife circles as DJ Cue said the mission is to revive support for the local club.

“Our club has been in the doldrums for a while and our support base registered a huge decline.  Since we have found our way back to the top flight competitions we thought there is a need to vigorously revive our support particularly here at home hence the Tagwilila Celebration,” he said.

Cue said the event resumes with activation in the form of aerobics in the morning at Galo Mall and then legends of football tournament in the afternoons before the main event that will begin in the late afternoon until the wee hours of the morning. “We are on a membership registration drive for the club and that will be coupling our entire activities of the day. Over and above that the club will benefit from the proceeds of the festival to ease the financial burdens at the start of the season.”

He said the event is a trial and if both parties are happy at the end of the day they will both map a way forward and see if the event can be put in the city’s calendar as an annual event.
