Charma Gals Jabu trends

The new single Jabu (Ke Mo Mejemong) was released just a few weeks ago as it is expected to be the festive hit song. As it is the norm, the Mmokolodi singer did not disappoint her fans as the new track received 20,063 views, 172 thumbs up and 11 thumbs down after being published on YouTube on November 8, 2017.

However, the star published the new single’s official video on Tuesday where it got 912 views, 825 subscriptions, 31 thumbs up and no thumbs down.

Just a few minutes after the video was published on Charma Gal Productions Facebook page it has already hit 9,600 views, has 241 comments and was shared more than 2,000 times. In one of the stanzas the song goes, “Jabu ke mo Mejemong. Ga ke batle too much thinking, ga ke batle hene hene, akere akere, how how. Ga ke batle walawala too much”.

The music video was shot and edited by Jack Bohloko, in association with Truways and Black Pixel Films. The video corresponds with the message portrayed in the song where the artist gets a call from her ex-boyfriend Jabu when she is out partying. She proceeds to answer his call and makes it clear that she is out partying and has no time for petty talk and explanations.  She clearly states that she does not have time for ‘talking too much’.

The video is shot in a township where a group of people are having a nice time partying, drinking and having a braai.  The song ends with the lead singer and ‘Jabu’ reconciling. In the video the artist also included community members who had a chance to partake in the shoot whilst at the same time enjoying the new track.
