MTN Botswana Unveils Internet Package For SMEs

The Internet package comes with a number of components such as web hosting, endpoint Anti-virus, shared firewall, Anti-spam and Anti- virus for email, hosted mailbox web content management and control.
“SKYe Connect has been conceptualised for an SME that is starting to evolve into a serious player in their space and has a desire to portray a more professional image to the market reducing their IT and Internet headaches,” said Mthulisi Malinga, head of operations for MTN Botswana.
With all its components, it means the SME has to leave most of the ICT and related work to MTN Botswana as they will take care of elements such as cyber security, web hosting and content management to mention but a few.
“Other mobile network companies do provide Internet packages but they lack such components, which lead to SMEs sourcing the services from private companies or individuals.
“This is an Internet package with a difference as it brings security to SMEs in this time of cyber crime. With a firewall you are secure enough for someone to hack into your space,” he said.
Malinga stated that they decided to put a product for SMEs because they play a major role in the economy and at times they have limited funds to run their respective businesses.
The MTN Botswana head of operations said with time the SKYe Connect package will be upgraded.
