The lineup included local and international acts such as Wizkid, Burnaboy, Ringo, Freshly Ground, Ammo Ski Mask, Scar, Trippy Rhe and Ban T to mention but a few who gave their all on stage.

It started off at a low pace with local disc jockeys such as Sbi Tech, Strictly House Bound and Mr Yummy on the decks. The lineup did not go as scheduled, which led to musicians getting on stage late.

Freshly Ground set the mood of the night with the lead singer, Zolani belting out timeless hit tracks such as Potbelly, Nomvula and Waka Waka, which had the audience moving to the beat.

They staged an energetic dance move that marked the official opening of the concert with everyone singing and dancing the night away. After the South African band came along artists such as Trippy Rhe, Luz Kat, Han C and Ammo Ski Mask followed.

Another South African act, Ringo performed to the delight of the audience with his Afro pop old jams such as Sondela, Into Yami and Nkqo Nkqo. Local hip-hop veteran, Scar also performed his new and old tracks such as Happy Hour and Dimakatso.

It got late before the main act Wizkid could perform and revellers were getting agitated, but his homeboy Burna Boy cheered up the crowd with an energetic performance. He seemed to love every moment on stage, as he took charge of revellers with his performance.

Performing with a live band Burna Boy dished out songs such as Soke, Don Gorgon, All Eyes On Me, Check and Balance. Everyone in the attendance was singing and dancing to the tunes. He gave out a solid 45-minute performance.

It was in the wee hours of the morning when the main act, Wizkid, got on stage with his band. He did not waste anytime, as he got straight to business performing a verse from Emtee’s Roll Up.

Wizkid took revellers down memory lane as he performed his old songs such as Sound It and Slow Down. One of the revellers got too ecstatic as he ran from the stands jumping the barricades and went on stage to hug Wizkid.

Wizkid went on to sample some of his new sounds, which revellers related to.

He finished off his performance as dawn set in. In terms of safety and operations, the environment at the stadium was up to par with the security team and event organisers patrolling throughout the event.
