Gabz First bounces back

The first event this year featured local and international acts such as Harrison Krump, Otis Fraiser, Duncan Han C, Ban T and Groove Cartel. The main theme was tropical fiesta.

“This time around we changed the theme of the event to ‘Take me to Africa’. It will be more of an African-oriented event from the entertainment line-up, dress and set up at the event,” said Gabz First promoter, Massie Hule.

He stated that the event line-up which only consists of African artists from countries such as Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique and Lesotho will only be released two weeks prior the event as a marketing technique.

“We are looking forward to having at least 3,000 or more people at the event compared to the first one that had 1,200 people”.

With the event being held at Bojanala Waterfront, Hule hinted on possibilities of having more than one performance stage looking at how broad and big the venue is.

“People should come dressed in different African cultural outfits. We will be giving out hints on how they should dress on our different social media platforms”.

The Minister of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism, Tshekedi Khama and the Gaborone mayor, Kagiso Thutlwe will be present at the event.
