Early Christmas for Tsholofelo Foundation children

Mabijo Productions founder and director, Tebogo Motswetla said Hope Christmas Carols are aimed at bringing hope to people more especially the less privileged members of the public. This charity Christmas event that is a celebration of hope that also celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ through helping the needy.

“We have identified a charity organisation that will benefit from the proceeds of the event and that is Tsholofelo Foundation children. We are teaching those children orchestra and therefore we intend to buy them musical instruments with the proceedings,” he said.

Motswetla added that for the past years, they got a positive response and support from the nation and urged them to continue supporting the initiative. He added that the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Culture Development has helped them tremendously in the past years.

He said the ministry helped them pay for the venue that the children use for rehearsals and buy music equipment. He said they taught teenagers and the youth up to 21-years-old how to play orchestra. He urged the community to come in large numbers to enjoy with and support the children. Local artists that will partake at the event include the jazz guru Lister Boleseng, Mpho Sebina, Motlhaolosa Poetry Ensemble, The Emmanuel Kids and many more. The event will start at 5pm till 7pm at Maitisong. Tickets are sold at P100 per person.
