Cresta To Open Gantsi Hotel Next Year

In June this year, the group opened an 83-roomed hotel in Maun. Addressing the media recently, the group’s managing director, Mokwena Morulane said that they are looking to continue pursuing their growth strategy both in Botswana and in the region.

“In this regard, we are constantly on the lookout for expansion opportunities.

“We are looking into expanding to Gantsi in the near future with an 80-roomed hotel currently in the pipeline,” he said.

According to the MD, their strategy going into 2018 would see them becoming more bullish in their marketing, certainly more competitive in their product offerings, growing beyond their traditional comfort zone to service new demographic and geographic markets.

He said that they would continue refurbishments of their properties around the country, an effort that would ensure that they keep their establishments in top form structurally and aesthetically, while ensuring that they continue to give their customers an unparalleled experience at their resorts.

In addition, Morulane said that they have embraced the digital evolution to their growth strategy by introducing the state of art conferencing equipment and other technological gadgets.

We believe we understand the direction in which our customer needs are growing, and are working towards developing solutions in line with these needs, industry standards and international best practice.

“The group plans to invest significantly in our staff training and development, in order to elevate all the key delivery touch points of our business,” he said.

Further he said that the addition of new board members, Moatlhodi Lekaukau and Tshepidi Moremong would bring additional specialist skills and expertise thus ensuring satisfactory performance of the group.

“As the year draws to a close, we celebrate that the business is looking more robust than ever, and is ready to take on 2018 and beyond. We look forward to being a part of the holiday plans by hosting our clients across our various locations, in our special Cresta way,” he said.

Cresta Marakanelo Limited is the operating company for the Cresta Hotels in Botswana. The company was established in 1987, when Cresta Hospitality was awarded the management contract for the Marakanelo Hotels in Botswana.
