The motswako rapper, who is also a producer, told Showbiz in an interview that he worked alone in the project from writing to production.

Go tlhakanya berese is a street lingo for driving crazy and the rapper said he was inspired to come up with the title because he thought it would drive fans insane. “This song will take your mind to places,” he said.

TKed said the single has been ready since March and by end of July it will be available across all media platforms. “I recorded it at my own studio called Big Size Music and I have already shot a video for the song,” he said. TKed said even though his focus is motswako, Berese has a fusion of kwaito and hip-hop.

He highlighted that it is part of his upcoming album, which will have 16 to 18 songs in total. TKed said it was not his choice to work alone in his first single but he recorded Berese alone and realised that it is a good song. “I work with many people as a producer, I am currently working with HT, Ozi F Teddy and Touch just to mention but a few,” he said.

The 28-year-old said his strength is production and he learnt to harness his rap skills from working with hip hop artists over the years. “I started my passion for music at an early age but I began embarking on my dream to become a producer in junior school,” he highlighted.

TKed also said he believed that producers made more in the business sense. He said he started writing in 2008 but at the time he did not have the equipment to make beats. After buying his equipment in 2011, TKed said that is when he became hands on and started producing beats after beats. He said the single is just a marketing strategy and it is currently available for free in Soundcloud, Reverbnation and Datahostfile.
