Butale said this at Kagisong Centre where different BMD regional chairpersons were addressing journalists yesterday. Recently, BMD chairperson Nehemiah Modubule told the media that they would engage security guards with 50 dogs.

“When we formed this party, there were no security dogs and we formed it out of nothing. It is time we reclaim our party from Gilbert Mangole, Modubule, and Tlamelo Mmatli.”

“We do not want fights, but if they want it, we will give it to them. We will protect our president, Ndaba Gaolathe and (vice president) Wynter Mmolotsi. Congress is the supreme body not an individual,” Butale said.

He continued; “Even members of the party who are not delegates should go to the congress. The members are the only ones who could give direction to the their party. the NEC should give a proper report on what they have done and account for other things.” Jonathan Thembo of Francistown region said the NEC failed communicate to the regions at all times.

“We want the new NEC which would respect its members. What Modubule and his friends are doing at the NEC will not be done at Bobonong.

He said they have realised that the issue of expelling other members were taken personally. Thembo said the NEC is tearing the party  apart, the issue being the use of money amongst the cadres who are pursuing the agenda of the intelligence community and the government of the day.
