Man (42) Charged With Raping 13-year-old girl

Mmereki is the girl’s coach at Mogoditshane Fighters’ women’s football team and also the manager of Bronze Security Services.
According to the charge sheet, Mmereki allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge with the girl without her consent on June 17, 2017.
It is alleged that after a football practice Mmereki took the girl to his place at Boseja ward in Mogoditshane and raped her. It has been revealed that on the fateful day, Mmereki proposed love to the girl and when refusing he assaulted her before raping her.
It is alleged that he kept and assaulted the girl for three days in his house.
Mmereki released the girl on June 20 and after that she went straight to school where on arrival her teachers discovered that something was wrong with her.
When interrogated by her teachers, the girl disclosed what transpired at his coach’s house and they reported the matter to the police.
Mmereki pleaded not guilty to a rape charge and is currently in prison awaiting trial. He will appear in court on July 21.
