Mafikizolo to serenade music lovers at BOSETU Cultural Night

The event, which has grown in stature, will also feature celebrated son of the soil, Sereetsi and the Natives of Robete fame, and Amantle Brown of Black Mampatile hit.
There is no doubt that with Mafikizolo, the organisers have hit the right cord, as the popular band always performs to sold out concerts in Gaborone.
The first single, Love Portions, from their latest album titled 20, has unleashed a brand new, refreshed, repackaged Mafikizolo on the path to establish themselves as an African heavyweight of song. The album has infused trending Afro pop tunes into their music, as well as featuring Nigerian hit makers, Zimbabwe's Jah Prayzah, and a host of South African heavyweights. It was launched as recently as two weeks ago in South Africa.
The fans of Mafikizolo cannot wait to be serenaded with melodies from the well packaged album, as well as the signature Mafikizolo tunes like Inandawe, Khona and many more.
BOSETU publicity secretary, Edwin Maitshoko has assured music lovers that the organisation has invested in security to safeguard the patrons’ belongings. “It is security first, because we want people to enjoy themselves.
'So we have gone all out to invest in security, so that no nasty instances are reported. The cars, especially will be very safe, because a team of security will be ensuring that revellers have the peace of mind they need,” Maitshoko said.
However, the BOSETU Cultural Night concept of featuring its homegrown talent in choral, traditional troupe, afro pop band, will be upheld to promote the arts amongst teachers as well as to cater for those traditional followers of this event who go there specifically for the diversity it offers.
The cultural night is used by the union to raise funds toward their corporate social responsibility programme, which, amongst others, has seen the union erect decent houses for the less privileged in Gantsi and Mmadinare in the past, while part of the funds have also been used to help transport its members for their annual sports and culture games, known as ANTUSA Games.
