Radipotsane was excused from the game to celebrate his 60th birthday in Pilikwe. His side turned on the style with a Master Masitara brace and a goal each from Mponang Mponang and Orebotse Mongae to finish off Santos in the opening half before they left to join their coach’s celebrations in Pilikwe.

“Our coach left instructions that we should do this for him and I am impressed with the response from the boys,” assistant coach, Nyaladzi Sebopelo said after the game. “We killed the game in the first half and closed well in the second half. Now we can go celebrate with our coach.”

Miscellaneous put a firm foot forward in the second minute with Mponang’s goal. Bokani Leeto posted a free kick from the right into the Santos box, and fell for Mponang, and his low shot beat a rooted goalkeeper.

Santos were confident on the ball and they dictated play in the middle of the park, but failed to find their way up the field. They were forced to shoot from outside the box and their attempts were off the mark.

Masitara scored his first in the 29th minute after he received a pass from Mongae in front of the box, took two steps before unleashing a grass cutter that the goalkeeper parried into the net.

Santos had the best chance three minutes later when Eric Molefi dribbled past a defender on the left and picked unmarked Modise Sifo with a pinpoint cross in the 16-yard box, but his connection went over.

Masitara completed his brace in the 43rd with an easy tap in at the end of a Mongae inch perfect cross. The lively Mongae put the cherry on top with his own in the dying minutes of the half. Bonolo Fraiser’s blocked shot fell for Mongae outside the box and he drilled into the top left.

Miscellaneous had the game in the bag and sat the entire second half. They watched Santos toil without luck until the last whistle in what their coach Kesebonye Ranku termed a disastrous display.

“This was a winnable game, but we conceded due to basic errors. We played better sides but this was simply disastrous. We are creating and we are not scoring and that has been the case the entire half of the season, we need to bolster this squad in the next transfer window,” he said. Sebopelo said their game ended in the opening half and they returned to guard against conceding in the last stanza.
