The Botswana Football Association announced on Friday that they have hired Bright on a three-year contract. “Bright brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the local game and in the international game.

He has won league titles and cups in the Botswana League and has a vast knowledge of local players,” the association said in a press statement.

He will be assisted by Police XI coach, Sthandwa Mogwadi while Thabo Motang takes over as the goalkeeper coach. Bright and his technical team’s first assignment is this Saturday against South Africa in the CHAN qualifier in Francistown.

The team has just returned from a disastrous campaign in the just ended COSAFA Cup in South Africa. They first lost to Zambia in the quarterfinals before going down to South Africa in the plate semi finals.
