Super rich Masisi Camp Dubai in early lead

Although the delegates to the congress are expected not to exceed 640 people, the Camp Dubai as the Masisi camp is affectionately known, has over 650 tents to accommodate those in need.

Interestingly, a councillor in the Masisi team bragged early in the day that they have sufficient beef and game meat to feed the whole congress.

The camp is endowed with donations of 25 cows, 19 elands, 15 kudus and 15 Impalas.

There is also plenty of refreshments and entertainment at the Camp Dubai which is set a stones' throw from the congress venue at the Tonota College of Education (TCE).

As for some members of the Nonofo Molefhi camp, they are already crying foul that they are contesting against the 'state' as the team Masisi was unfairly using government tents to run its errands.

Although this remains unverified, some tents were reportedly used at the Khawa sand dunes event recently.

A spokesperson for the Masisi team in the Francistown region, Modiri Lucas has denied reports of the tents being state property.

'Those tents were donated by well wishers and are not state property,' emphasised Lucas.

Both camps have been vigorously campaigning ahead of the polls that will commence tomorrow. From the way things are, Masisi is set to be re-elected the BDP chairman.
