My late girlfriends lover is bugging me, murder accused claims

The man, who is facing a murder charge for killing his girlfriend over suspicion of having an affair, blames the alleged affair partner for his woes.  In a brief mention, the murder accused 25-year-old Tshepang Modungwa,  said his deceased girlfriend’s alleged affair partner is the cause of all his troubles and is still bothering him, something that he feels could lead to his bail being revoked. “I plead with this court to help me in stopping or warning, in a way, the man who made me do what I have done.

The man whom I found with the deceased cheating on me is trying to communicate with me.  He is bothering me.

“This is a witness in my case and there is nothing he can talk to me about. If he continues, this will likely affect my bail. I plead with the court to intervene,“ he said.

Dipate ordered the prosecutor in the case to make a follow up and warn the witness.

According to the charge sheet, the accused person allegedly murdered his girlfriend, Keneilwe Molebatsi by beating her to death after finding her with her supposed ‘affair partner’ inside a house in Metlojane village in April 22, 2017.

Modungwa was granted bail on June 13 and has been complying with the conditions.

In another matter, Magistrate William Modise yesterday warned a 24-year-old Newlook ward man that he would face the wrath of the law if he fails to respect court.

Onkemetse Bagoreng who yesterday attempted to walk out of the dock whilst his case was still being heard, almost got himself early punishment before his trial in a case in which he faces charges of allegedly sexually molesting a six-year-old minor.

The state alleges that on the day of May 3, 2017, Bagoreng lured a six-year-old Lobatse young girl to an undisclosed location and sexually molested her.  The accused was subsequently arrested in an abandoned house in Lobatse a few days after the incident.
