Fashion designer aspires to open boutique

Vivacious Gabotsalwe keeps herself busy by creating fashionable crafts, she tells Showbiz.  She says she began her fashion business in October 2015 in line with a certicifate course in Clothing Design and Textiles she obtained from Gaborone Technical College in 2008.

“I cannot escape from the passion I have for fashion and I tried several times to ignore it, but failed each time. My love for beauty and fashion began from a tender age. I remember how I used to create purses out of old denim pants and sell them at school during my primary school days,” she reminisces.

The talented designer reveals she operates under her brand, Lelo’s Blessed Hands, which is not yet officially launched. She highlights that her weaves magical with her sexy hands and the output of her works is always amazing hence the name ‘Lelo’s Blessed Hands’.

“I chose this name because I consider my hands highly blessed because I have the ability to make different crafts, which always come out perfectly,” she says.

She laments that her main challenge is that she does not have a proper working place to accommodate her creations since she is working at home where space is little. But she is bold that despite the challenge, she pins her hopes on both positive responses from people and a growing clientele.

“My designs are doing well and I can’t complain because it’s quite promising that I will do well in future as my business expands,” she says. Gabotsalwe hopes to make her brand official before the end of 2017. She aspires to own a three-section boutique, which specialises in clothing, make-up and hair.

“It has always been my dream and I’m striving very hard to make sure that I achieve it. God can see my heart and I wholeheartedly trust that he will make it possible,” she adds wistfully, her mind fixed on the future.
