The two players were pivotal during Galaxy’s incredible season where they won the Mascom Top 8 as well as finishing second in the league.

Club chairperson, Njabulo Gilika confirmed they received interest from Gaborone giants, Township Rollers and Gaborone United (GU) but said it ended just there. “Yes there have been interest from GU and Rollers, but nothing has followed. We made them aware that the players are still contracted to the club and our position has been clear that they are not up for sale,” he said. Gilika’s revelation will come as a relief to Galaxy supporters who have seen their side become a formidable outfit with just two seasons in the elite league.

Setsile was recently endorsed by fellow players in the Premier League as the most outstanding last season. Sesinyi almost single-handedly decided the Mascom Top 8 final against Orapa United with his dazzling performance.

He recently attended trials at South African side, Platinum Stars. The two players have been part of the national team, which tumbled out of the COSAFA Cup in South Africa. Galaxy are said to be close to losing their right back, Thabo Leinanyane who is linked with a move to Rollers.

However, Zimbabwe striker, Patrick Kaunda is also close to joining. Kaunda spent last season at Gilport Lions where he joined from BDF XI.

He has also played for FC Satmos before he joined Platinum Stars where he failed to break into their starting 11. The club has also been said to be salivating over out of contract midfielder, Lawrence Majawa. Majawa recently parted ways with Rollers after nine years with the team, over wage disagreements. Rollers recently announced that Tshepo Motlhabankwe has extended his stay by one more season. Kekaetswe Moloi and Joel Mogorosi however have still not yet renewed their contracts. TAFIC who recently failed to rope in Dragojlo Stanojlovic as the head coach, have reportedly agreed terms with Maxwell Moyo. It will be Moyo’s second stint in Francistown having drilled ECCO City Greens at one point.

Meanwhile, Gilika said they are on track to ensure that they have complied with the Club Licensing requirements with the deadline approaching.
