This is her first nationwide tour since the release of her latest album, Ke Ya Mokolodi earlier this year.  The album has hits such as Ke Ya Mokolodi and Security Systems, and features artists such as Jah Prayzah.

“We calling it a live tour because she will be performing all her tracks from her albums with a live band of 15 including her dancers.  The goal is to perform all over the country. We have already started touring a number of places, especially Gaborone and surrounding areas,” Charma Gal’s manager, Gilbert Seagile said.

The tour has seen the musician performing in a number of places such as Gaborone, Ramotswa and Palapye.

Seagile noted that the tour will ensure that every Charma Gal fan gets to see her perform, as she will also be engaging with the audience at each venue.

“While performing in all these places we are shooting a DVD that will have a compilation of Charma Gal’s shows in the various places she would have toured.  So far we have been received well in all the places we have toured,” he said.

Despite it being a Charma Gal tour she will have a number of upcoming and unknown artists curtain-raising for her. Some have already done so in the previously held performances of the tour. Some of these artists are Mampo, Tarz-B, Sylvester Lesola, Copperfield, Jivemore and Skeat to mention just a few.

“As a way of giving back to the industry we have decided that upcoming and unknown artists feature on the tour so they can be known and gain more exposure. Charma Gal is a crowdpuller, which is an advantage for these artists to perform in front of a full house,” he said.

By the look of things, it seems the tour will take place throughout the year as Seagile noted that it would go on till this summer.

Seagile was only recently appointed as Charma Gal’s manager.  The two have a long working relationship, which goes back to the time when Seagile used to manage Culture Spears.
