Mmegi Sport has it on good authority that TAFIC has already started preliminary talks with some of the five targets.

Calendar Stars attacker, Lovemore Murwira is said to be target number one.

Murwira has been showing glimpses of his old self since joining the First Division North (FDN) outfit at the beginning of the season after he was shown the door by Orapa United. Murwira trained with TAFIC at the start of the season but was not offered a contract.

Former ECCO City Greens and Orapa United striker, Bonolo Frazer has also been identified as a potential target by TAFIC, and so is defender Gofamodimo Kobe.

Kobe fell out of favour at TAFIC last season and was later shipped out to Great North Tigers (GNT) in the FDN where he has been flourishing.

Another player who is poised to return is Mbatshi Machongo who played a key role in TAFIC’s promotion to the Premiership. Machongo left for Sowa Flamingoes after but is said to be eager to return. An unidentified striker who once plied his trade at Green Lovers is also reported to be on the verge of completing a deal with TAFIC. He has been training with the club for sometime.

“At the moment I cannot name the players we are in talks with because they belong to other clubs. I can, however, confirm that our aim is to sign a notable number of attackers and defenders. These are the areas we have been lacking since the beginning of the season,” TAFIC spokesperson, Warrant Kolola told Mmegi Sport.

Meanwhile, Kolola told Mmegi Sport that Tsatsilebe is the one who opted for a six-month contract instead of a lengthy stay at the club.

“The contract will be reviewed at the end of the season and we may continue with our relationship depending on the prevailing circumstances,” he said.
