Gate motor thieves on the prowl

According to Mogoditshane police station commander, superintendent Agreement Mapeu there has been an increase in theft of gate motors in Mogoditshane and surrounding areas.

He disclosed to have recently arrested four suspects in relation to the recent string of gate motor theft in his policing area.

“We have arrested four suspects, three Batswana and one Zimbabwean suspected to have been terrorising the area. The quartet were arrested in possession of a single gate motor and from our investigations we have established that some gate motors have crossed the border to Zimbabwe where they have alleged to have found the market,” Mapeu said.

Mapeu stated that the suspects are syndicates who go around installing gate motors and later in the night come to steal them.
