Her badly decomposed body was discovered dumped in the bushy outskirts of Tlokweng village late last year.

Theories abound as to who the killer or killers might be, but to date Tlokweng police are still looking for her murder(s).

Tlokweng police station commander, superintendent Robson Maleka told The Monitor that investigations into the matter are still ongoing to establish the person or persons behind July’s mysterious murder.

She was discovered with her cellphone, wedding ring, spectacles, toiletry bag, ATM cards, Omang, her underwear and some of her blood soaked clothes, 15 used male condoms and two unused female condoms.

Her boyfriend has been identified as the main suspect and the police have issued a warrant for his arrest as he was allegedly last seen with the victim before she was killed.

Maleka stated that they are yet to locate the boyfriend, as they have already on several occasions visited his house in Tlokweng where he was temporarily residing, but to no avail.

Maleka said they do not know yet if the suspect is the one who killed July, but he has not been seen since the incident.  Maleka said because of this, July’s boyfriend remains their main suspect, but they cannot rule out the possibility that someone else might have killed her.

“The duo were lovers and were last seen together. We are looking for him so that we can do DNA tests to match up with the evidence that was collected at the scene of the crime. However, investigations are ongoing to establish the suspect(s) behind the horrific acts,” Maleka said.

He stated that they do not rule out the possibility of more than one suspect, as their main one does not own a car.

“There were car tyre marks near where she was abandoned hence suspecting that a car might have been used to transport her lifeless body to the bush,” he said.

With no luck locating him in Tlokweng and having no leads to his whereabouts, Maleka said that they have tried to find him at his home village Thamaga more often, still to no avail.

He said that even if they cannot depend on his relatives who claim not to have heard of him or when they last communicated with him before the incident, they do not expect the boyfriend’s relatives would give up his whereabouts easily.

A passerby who was walking from his cattle post to Tlokweng saw a big bag dumped in the bush last year November and detoured to inspect, only to make a gory discovery.

He alerted the police who upon arrival, found July’s already decomposing body wrapped in a blanket inside a big bag believed to have been out there for days on ends.
