Debswana employee murdered in Mukubilo

According to police, the deceased was travelling from Francistown with two unknown passengers. Investigations reveal that just before Mukubilo village, he hit a dog. He stopped by the bus stop and alighted the car to investigate.

An eyewitness told the police there were two passengers who remained in the car while the deceased was inspecting the damage.

Superintendent Michael Maphephu of Letlhakane police said one witness who was also driving from Francistown en-route to Maun told them that in his shortstop break around 4am at the same bus stop he eavesdropped a quarrel from the car.

Maphephu said they have not arrested anyone at this point and they don’t have leads. He said identity of the two men that he was with is unknown.

“We are investigating his point of departure to establish leads. We don’t know where they were going or their relationship. He was stabbed multiple times in his head and face and was left to die in the car, we are hunting for the two men he was with to help us with the investigations,” Maphephu said.
