Ngenda told Showbiz in an interview that he started rapping when he was 13-years-old after being inspired by international rap artists. “Growing up I listened to hip-hop music, mostly Lil Wayne’s music because his creativity in terms of the choice of words he used in his songs captivated my interest into this art.

I’m also inspired by Botswana’s very own Dramaboi who narrates inspirational stories through his music,” he said.  He said that his music is motivated by the events of his life in general; the struggles, aspirations and success.

Ngenda said that he is a member of Drop Hitz Squad which is a Rasesa based record label consisting of young artists brought together by the love music.

“I recently released three songs on the 13th of June which are Eat featuring Ado Boy T, New Wave featuring DMK, as well as Mum and Dad and I can happily say the songs are getting a lot of love locally, even in South Africa,” he said.

He said that they are currently working on the New Wave music video which will be released next month and trusts that it will make a bold statement for his team in the music industry. He said he worked with Bakang ‘Baxon’ Moitoi, Gibson ‘Yung Amaze’ Kaleng, Thatayaone ‘Crack’ Moroka and many other artists.

He highlighted that he finds it very hard to get bookings for shows and lack of finances hinder promotion of upcoming artists. “Despite all these challenges, it would be good to highlight that the support I get from people is overwhelming, with more than 10 thousand views on my recent videos and audio streams on social media.

This positive feedback shows that people appreciate my craft and very thankful for that,” he said. Ngenda said that he aspires to be an international artist, to educate people through music, to give hope to the lost souls and most importantly make his family proud by being able to generate funds from his talent and put food on the table.

“I want to achieve all this before I reach 24 years of age. I’m very patient, perseverant and dedicated in making all my aspirations become a reality and that is the main reason I work tirelessly to improve my craft,” he said.
