JJ bags brace on Ostriches debut

Orapa United managed the ‘coup’ of the January transfer window, snatching the experienced duo of Ramatlhakwana and Lesego ‘Big Lesh’ Galenamotlhale.

JJ penned a one-year deal while Big Lesh signed for two years. The two are now re-united with their former coach at Chiefs, Bongani Mafu, who joined Orapa recently.

Sources  said Orapa paid Rollers P20,000 for Ramatlhakwana’s services while Galenamotlhale cost a reported P40,000.

But United spokesperson, Kabo William could not confirm the figures, safe to say they compensated the two players' former clubs. He said the mission is to turn around their fortunes.

William said they have endured costly injuries and their squad lacked quality and experience. He said the arrival of JJ and Big Lesh will be positive for the technical department.

“We are preparing in earnest for the second round. We have a good squad that needed extra experience and the two players are premiership hardened. We believe they will help us turn around our fortunes,” he said.
