Police suspect �mugging gone wrong� in Molapo death

Gaborone West police station commander, superintendent Howard Modo told Mmegi today that the have now identified the deceased.

“From our investigations we have established that the deceased, aged 28, who was residing at Tsholofelo location in Broadhurst, Gaborone was by the bus stop near Molapo Crossing on Tuesday night trying to board a combi when he met his fate,” Modo said.

Modo stated that whilst at the bus stop the deceased was attacked by two men.  It is alleged that they later ran away into the nearby bush when a car approached the bus stop.

“It is alleged that the deceased followed them into the bush (and) that is when he met his fate.  He sustained chest injuries and we suspect that a sharp object like a knife might have been used,” Modo said.
