Letebele is one of the few male models that have made a mark in both the local and international fashion scenes.  The young man will be participating at Accra Fashion Week to be held from October 3-8, 2017 in Angola. This year, Accra Fashion Week will be celebrating the country’s 60 years of independence with fashion and style.

Letebele has been participating in various international fashion shows like Zim Fashion Week and Intwasa Fashion Show in Zimbabwe, Mpumalanga Fashion Festival and Ekuhruleni Fashion show and Mercedes Benz Fashion in South Africa.

“I got selected to Accra Fashion Week because I met a designer, Victoria Michaels, during the Mercedes Benz Fashion week in Cape Town who told me that she was interested in my body features.  She said I was the right candidate to model her clothing line which is one of the popular brands in Angola,” he said.

He said he was excited when he got the invite to participate at one of the biggest fashion shows in Angola. Letebele said being able to participate in big fashion shows was an advantage to him as it meant that his portfolio was growing.

He said that will enable him to get more prestigious jobs, as his portfolio will indicate his tremendous experience on the big ramps. However, his modeling career does not end there as the young man has big dreams.

He told Showbiz that he sees himself working overseas and being recognised on the international fashion industry. “I see myself working out of the country at Paris modeling for Apple Models in the UK and being signed under them. I will not limit myself so I am here to chase my dreams and ensure that they turn into a reality.

I know that I have the ability to go far in life,” he said confidently. Letebele said he was not surprised to see himself growing fast because he worked hard and all thanks to his extremely good modeling instructors.

Letebele said the local modeling industry is growing and believes that with time it will reach the international standards. He also called on the local business people to sponsor fashion shows and the entertainment industry at large so that the local talent could grow.

He also urged big fashion houses to support local designers so that they could also grow into bigger brands. “In future I would like to scout for potential models, take them through a formal training as well as exposing them to local and international shows,” he ended.
