Taximan kills girlfriend, commits suicide in Mochudi

Mochudi Police Station, assistant superintendent Washington Wazha Zambezi told Mmegi that they received a call from a passerby who reported an incident in which a young man was hit and killed by a train in Pilane railway early Saturday morning. 

“We received a report around 5am that a pedestrian was hit and killed by a train.  When we reached the scene we discovered that indeed there was a young man that was killed by a train.  When we were still at the scene we also received a call that there was a young woman teacher at the new Linchwe Primary School who was found in a pool of blood.  We rushed to the scene and discovered that she was stabbed with a sharp object suspected to be a knife,” he said.

The 27-year-old was rushed to the hospital where she was certified dead.  He added that the investigations proved that the two were lovers. Both the deceased were from Mochudi. 

The investigations are ongoing to determine what might have transpired between the lovebirds.
