Students who failed their JC will not progress to senior schools

The ministry released a statement today dismissing reports that has been circulating on social media indicating that all students who have failed their form three will progress to senior secondary schools.

The reports also said that all form four students are expected to report to their respective schools on Tuesday January 30, 2018. The ministry said student placement has not yet been availed to schools and regional education offices as alleged on social media.

“The misleading information claims that the Permanent Secretary, Grace Muzila told Yarona FM that students who failed their JC examinations would progress to senior schools. The public is informed that such information is false and misleading. The public is informed that the selection process will commence on Monday 29th until 16th February,” the media release states.
