BIC, Game Changers donate to Morama JSS

The books valued at P44, 000 are part of an educational intervention aimed at helping the school’s efforts to enhance performance of their students. It is a follow up to a three day personal development programme called A Foot In the Door (AFID) facilitated by Game Changers on April (24 - 26) this year.
The books donated are meant to compliment the AFID programme and hence BIC’s contribution in ensuring all participants gets a personal copy each.
It is against this background that BIC did not hesitate to be part of this remarkable initiative to help students take charge of their lives, keep their dreams alive and develop employability skills.
According to BIC marketing communications and media liaison, Tsholofelo Pule, “BIC is committed to community development and partnering with Game Changers on this project was testament to what the company stands for, as it touches on two of its Corporate Social Responsibility pillars which are targeted towards the youth and education.”
“Youth empowerment is an integral part of the BIC’s CSR strategy as we aim to equip young people with skills that will enable them to be innovative, identify potential business opportunities and unleash their own potential through self-awareness,” she said.
“This book will enhance and reinforce what you have learnt and act as a point of reference when you need motivation and inspiration.”
It is everyone’s responsibility to add to the efforts that improve the lives of those around them. It takes many hands and players to achieve this dream. If we can all stand together, we will build better communities,” Pule added.
Game Changers felt compelled to match the passionate students and teachers’ attitude with a great gesture hence the partnership with BIC.
Saidi Mdala, director at Game Changers had this to say; great friendships, passion and faith are key to achieving your dream. “If you are passionate enough about something, you can cause other people to have faith in you”, he said.
In the spirit of collective responsibility, the chief education officer, Abram Molelowamodimo and Morama JSS PTA chairperson, Tsholofelo Lucas-Adumeleng, graced the event to help the school head, Mpho Lesego in receiving the donation and appreciating BIC’s active citizenship.
When receiving the donation, Lesego expressed gratitude to BIC and Game Changers.
“We greatly value partnerships like this one. They are very important in schools and make learning much easier.”
BIC strongly believes that as a private sector player, they simply have to give back.
“We are key to socio- economic development and we cannot solely rely on government to provide and support those in need, we have a role to play. The company also believes in win-win and sustainable partnerships working with various stakeholders to ensure that a holistic partnership approach is taken to make an even larger impact when it comes to social responsibility.”
