Youngster kills grandfather in love triangle

Both the deceased and the suspect from Serowe were fighting over a 47-year-old woman at Mmamoruntshe settlement in the outskirts of Bamangwato capital.
The incident allegedly happened on Saturday evening. The two men, both herdsmen at the settlement are said to be in a love triangle with the woman.
Whilst busy imbibing home brewed beer at a local tavern, the two rivals allegedly got into an argument over the woman and the fight ensued.
According to Serowe police report, the younger man allegedly hit the old men thrice on the head with a knobkerrie and knocked him off.
Serowe Police station commander superintendent Molefhe Molefhe said they found the old man unconscious at the scene and they took him to Sekgoma Primary Hospital where upon arrival he was certified dead.
“When we got to the crime scene the suspect had already left but we followed him to his homestead and he was arrested the same evening,” Molefhe said.
