Diva Vebrok releases Ke Mokgatla

The diva told Showbiz that she decided to release a single that would inform her fans of where she comes from as she had realised that many of them are confused about her nationality.

Thabo Ledwaba known for his famous song, Sister Bertina that remains popular in the music scenes, produced the single.

“I have toured different countries such as Ghana, Ethiopia, Swaziland, Zambia and other countries where many are always confused of who I really am.  I remember last year when I was performing in Ethiopia, my fans there said I look like Ethiopians. Many people think I am either a Chinese, Indian or white.  This song tells them that I am a pure Motswana.  Ke Motswana wa sekei,” she proudly said.

One of the stanzas in her song states, ‘Ke Mokgatla. Ke bina Kgabo. Ke tswa Mochudi. Bangwe ba mpona bare ke Lekula. Bangwe ba mpona bare ke le-China. Ke Motswana wa sekei.’

She further explains that despite all the challenges she encountered being a Motswana and a Mokgatla woman her strength enabled her to always bounce back.
