Teams in last minute transfer window rush

National champions, Township Rollers have already closed their transfer business with four new registrations as they seek to defend their league title as well as venture into the continent.

Bogosi Nfila and Tiroyaone Maome became their latest signings this week, joining Ofentse Nato and Galagwe Moyana. Moyana has been with Rollers but was only registered recently for the remaining part of the season after a long lay-off due to injury.

Nfila joins from Miscellaneous while Maome, who once donned Gaborone United (GU) colours has been acquired from City Pollar.

Nfila is expected to cover in for Rollers following the shock departure of veteran striker, Jerome Ramatlhwakwana to Orapa United. His departure left Rollers thin upfront with only Mthokozisi Msomi as the only natural striker.

Both Msomi and Joel Mogorosi, who has been used as a striker this season, have been suspended indefinitely pending a disciplinary hearing over the fracas that happened during the Rollers and TAFIC game.

Rollers president, Jagdish Shah last week said they would not make any new signings despite the duo’s suspension and the departure of Ramatlhakwana. However, following a 2-2 draw with Jwaneng Galaxy in which they played without a natural striker, Rollers quickly moved and signed Nfila.

Defender, Oscar Ncenga is expected to be loaned out before the closure of the window today. Rivals, Mochudi Centre Chiefs have bolstered their squad with relegation axe hovering over their heads.

Topo Piet, Mandla Mgadla, Koketso Majafi and Pako Moloi have since been signed. Gunners have brought in Lesego Motlhabankwe, Bakang Tsholang, Mogomotsi Ditshotlo and defender, Mpho Kgaswane.
