He told Showbiz that the pageant would bring young talented Batswana men together. He also pointed out that Mister Gaborone aimed to change the local pageantry industry face as some pageant directors had tarnished it.

He explained that they wanted to bring a positive image to the local pageantry as sponsors and Batswana at large had lost faith in them.

“This weekend, that is on Saturday, we would be hosting auditions at Falcon Crest Suits opposite Maruapula flats at 10am. We want season two to go bigger and thus we are targeting 25 finalists from different corners of this country. Just like last year, we have no restriction in terms of height, body size and this pageant is open for all citizens aged between 18 and 35 years,” he said.

He added that the pageant’s main objective is to find a Motswana man who could compete at Mister Africa International where they scooped position three in 2017. Phofhedi added that their other objective is to give back to the community and therefore they want to establish a learning centre at Maboane in Kgalagadi.
