The settlement was turned into a court order binding the two groups to form a transitional committee.

The committee consists of nine members, with each of the two warring groups represented by three members while the rest of the members were agreed upon by the two groups consisting of the clubs’ elders. The committee is led by chairperson, Chris Molomo and his vice, Paulen Makgate, Reuben Lekorwe (secretary), Lebogang Seboni (vice secretary) and Reginald Madisa (treasurer). Ramocha Tsieng, Raymond Tsheko, Kitso Maswena and Aaron Ramosako have been included as the additional members.

Speaking to journalists yesterday, the interim chairperson, Molomo said there will be issues of timelines and they will be forced to move some dates to a later stage for implementation of some items in the order.

“One of the things contained in the order is that we form a transitional committee and call a press briefing which I am happy we have been able to do. There are other things including the fact that the interim committee should review the constitution and submit the draft by the end of June.”

He said some of the items cannot be done at the date stipulated in the order because time was not in their favour. He said they had difficulties accessing the court order on time hence the delay in implementing some of the items in the stipulated time.

He however said they will call a general meeting on July 1 where members will be updated on the progress and probably seek more guidance going forward. The club will then hold an elective general assembly of the society in August under the supervision of a body recommended by the interim committee.

Tsheko, who is also the chairperson of the Trust, which will be running the affairs of the club until the end of this month, assured Chiefs supporters that the team is still intact.

He said up to now they have not received any resignations or request for their players from other teams. “There will be continuity because some of the people who are serving in the Trust have been included in the transitional committee,” he said.
