Venasta offers double single release

The 28-year-old Thamaga-born artist’s latest release is titled Botlhaba that will be part of his upcoming album later on in June this year.

The double single CD tracks include Botlhaba and Lerato. It was produced by Suffocate and was recorded at Roc Lefatshe.  Venasta composed the songs and his backup vocalists are Perion and Ivon.

“Looking at my music career going forward, I decided to sing jazz because it is the kind of genre that I can sing even when I am older. It can also help curb unemployment it is mostly played live therefore I have to employ the youth to play instruments,” he said.

The two tracks are love songs.  Botlhaba talks of the beauty of love.  It has a stanza that states, “Ka jeno ke lala ko botlhaba. Ke tlola le melatswana. Tshilwana ya kgoro e sutisitswe ke buletswe”.

On the other hand, Lerato speaks of how love has lost its context as there is lack of trust and respect in relationships nowadays.  He tries to teach listeners about the beauty of love itself.
