Gilport Lions are languishing at the bottom with just six points from 14 games. They were left with only eight players after many others terminated their contracts in December following a dispute over unfulfilled contractual obligations.

They have since signed 12 players amongst them Otlantshekela Mooketsi who is expected to bring stability and experience at the back. Mooketsi previously played for Township Rollers and Extension Gunners.

Chiefs also went hard on the transfer market, signing 11 players. The new recruits to the struggling Mochudi side include Pako Moloi, Bogosi Kaekwe, Topo Piet and Tshepo Borake.

Kaekwe has just been released by Orapa United after joining them at the start of the season from Rollers while Piet was amongst the players who terminated their contracts at Gilport Lions.

Chiefs are at position 14 with 15 points and have lost two influential players, Lesego Galenamotlhale and Thato Kebue to Orapa United and Jwaneng Galaxy respectively.

Another struggling side, Uniao Flamengo Santos were not left behind as they try to fight their way out of the current 15th position.

They have reunited with defender, Thabo Mothibi and Jackie Mothatego who previously left the youthful side for greener pastures.

They re-join Santos from Gilport Lions. Santos have also managed to get Ocean Lottering from Rollers and Odirile Kgaodi, taking the number of new players to nine.

High riding Miscellaneous have signed several unknown players from the lower division to try and freshen up their squad in the second round.

Orapa United, on paper look the most solid side after the acquisition of Jerome Ramatlhakwane, Mosimanegape Ntwaetsile, Galenamotlhale and Onkabetse Makgantai.

Galenamotlhale and Ntwaetsile join the midfield which is already packed with talent that includes Tapiwa Namanjiva, Kemmy Pilato and Gift Moyo.

Ramatlhakwane and Makgantai join Omaatla Kebatho in attack. BDF XI hope that things turn out for the better up front following the arrival of Moathodi Ralesota who has since joined from Gunners.
