Countrywide Netball Trophy Tour Starts

The tour will start in Gaborone, moving along the A1 to Mahalapye and branching to Serowe on Thursday. On Day Three the trophy will reach Palapye, Selebi-Phikwe and Bobonong before moving to Borolong and Tutume on Saturday, while it will be in Francistown on Sunday.
The tour then heads up north with planned stops in Orapa and Letlhakane before reaching Maun on June 27. Gantsi will be the next stop on June 28 before Kanye, Jwaneng and Molepolole get a feel of the trophy on Day Nine.
The tour ends in Gaborone on June 30, just eight days before Botswana welcome 20 countries for the first world netball competition on African soil. The hosts face Malaysia in the opener on July 8.
Botswana’s other opponents in Pool C are Jamaica, Cook Islands and Uganda. The Under-21 competition runs from July 8 to 16 and while the organisers are happy with the technical aspects of the organisation, they feel more can still be done in the remaining days to increase the hype.
