The Black Mampatile singer told Arts & Culture that she was not aware of the awards until she received a call from a lady telling her about the nomination. She noted that her Yotube videos gave her a lot exposure, something that led to the international recognition.

“This nomination means that I am more marketable than before and it is an opportunity for international collaborations because I will interact with various artists during the awards ceremony.”

She has been nominated alongside South African heavyweights, Zahara and Babes Wodumo.

Amantle said she would continue to raise awareness until the voting line closes.

She said besides visiting the website, people can vote her by following the link on her Facebook page and select her name on the selection box. In order to vote one has to add their email address, and vote. One email address can only vote once.

The BOMU and YAMA award-winning singer also revealed that she is working on her next single called Bereka mosadi. Amantle, who recently released the video of Sapelo said she didn’t collaborate with anyone on the single but worked with a producer called Beatslayer.
