BPL chief executive officer, Thabo ‘Styles’ Ntshinogang said they met the Premier Soccer League (PSL) executive committee and senior management.

The benchmarking exercise is aimed at improving governance and the BPL product.

The BPL delegation spent the Wednesday afternoon in Johannesburg exchanging ideas with their counterparts.

The BPL is keen to address grey areas, which include ticketing, to ensure its overall product becomes more appealing to the consumers.

“Our key areas of benchmarking were corporate governance, ticketing, commercial and marking, competitions, legal, communications and stakeholder relations. These are all the areas we intend to improve on. We also wanted to establish how structurally, they are organised,” he said.

The delegation later watched the Nedbank Cup fixture between Bidvest Wits and Cape Town City on Wednesday night at the Bidvest Wits Stadium, before embarking on a behind the scenes tour.
