MMP Family Goes For Platinum

Perseverance has been the name of the game for the trio over the years since they ventured into music. They have cemented their place and proved their mettle as kwaito kingpins in the recent past.

Now, with their upcoming third studio album, MMP is on a mission full of the trio’s big dreams. They want to sell platinum.  MMP On A Mission came about after the trio observed what was going on around their surroundings and as a result of their experiences on their music journey.

“MMP Family’s optimistic and appreciative outlook on life has managed to create an empowering and uplifting album, full of promise. There is a say that CDs don’t sell anymore; it is just talk to MMP Family as we are planning to go platinum,” they stated.

According to the kwaito group, if they fail to achieve that feat, they have vowed never to release music again.

“The album contains a beautiful and honest collection of sounds straight from the heart.  We are never afraid to write about everything that comes to mind with the aim to address different issues,” they said.

MMP On A Mission’s release date coincides with Mzico’s birthday. The 15-track album is recorded in different studios with different producers to attain different sounds, namely Heartbeat Sounds, King’s Court, Hi-Note Sounds & Francois and promises nothing but good music judging by the their latest single called Ga O Tagilwe.

The former Botswana Musicians Union (BOMU) award winners also recently won Best Kwaito Single at the Yarona FM music awards for their hit, Kwela Kwela.
